CARMO ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Greatness and history
It was once the main Gothic church in the capital, but it was in ruins due to the earthquake and subsequent fire of 1755. The habitable part of the convent was converted into military installations in 1836. The Quartel do Carmo was an important landmark in the Carnation Revolution. The visit should take between 1h to 2 hours.
CASA FERNANDO PESSOA
Remember the great Portuguese poet
Casa Fernando Pessoa is the house that was inhabited by the writer in the last 15 years of his life and where it is possible to visit the reconstruction of his room, the multimedia room and the library specialized in world poetry. It is in Lisbon, in the neighborhood of Campo de Ourique.

MONASTERY OF JERÓNIMOS
One of the most important monuments in Lisbon
The monastery was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1983. Created by the architect Diogo de Boitaca, the construction of the Jerónimos Monastery began on January 6, 1501 and ended at the end of the 16th century. The predominant style of the monastery is Manueline and was built to celebrate the return of Vasco da Gama from India.

BERTRAND BOOKSTORE
The oldest in the world
Entering the Bertrand Chiado bookstore and going through its seven rooms is like going through part of Portuguese history and literature. Recognized by Guinness World Records in 2011 as the oldest bookstore in the world in operation, Bertrand Chiado lives up to the motto “antiquity is a post”, as it has effectively sold books since 1732.
SÃO LAZARO LIBRARY
Undiscovered literary relic
Created in 1883, the São Lazaro Library is housed in a building of neoclassical architecture from the end of the 19th century, and whoever dives in this space ends in the famous Noble Hall of the oldest library in the capital. A must-see place for booklovers and old libraries.
PADRÃO DOS DESCOBRIMENTOS
Symbol of Portugal's discoveries
52 meters high, the monument symbolizes a caravel, led by the figure of Infante D. Henrique, followed in procession by 32 historical personalities who contributed to the Age of Discoveries, such as King D. Afonso V (1432-81) , driver of the first discoveries.
